Ferrogen-XT Tablet 10's is a member of a class of medications known as 'haematinics,' which are primarily used to treat anaemia (lack of blood), which occurs primarily as a result of a poor diet, poor absorption of food, or increased folate use in the body. Ferrogen-XT Tablet 10's is available in a tablet form (in pregnancy). Anaemia is a disorder in which the body does not have enough red blood cells to transport enough oxygen to all of the body's organs and tissues on a regular basis. Ferrogen-XT Tablet 10's is a mixture of two drugs: ferrous ascorbate (iron supplement) and folic acid. Ferrogen-XT Tablet 10's is available in a tablet form (a form of vitamin B9). Ferrogen-XT Tablet 10's work by increasing the synthesis of red blood cells (RBC) and haemoglobin (a protein) in the body, according to the manufacturer. As a result, the body produces an acceptable quantity of red blood cells (RBCs), allowing each tissue to receive an adequate supply of oxygen as a result.
