Zyrtec Syrup is an effective medication for managing allergic conditions in children. It relieves symptoms like a blocked or runny nose, sneezing, itchy or watery eyes and allergic reactions to insect bites. It also helps with hives and eczema symptoms, including rash, swelling, itching, and irritation. The syrup can be used on an as-needed basis or regularly to prevent symptoms.
Administer the medicine orally as prescribed by the child's doctor, with or without food, ideally at the same time daily. If vomiting occurs within 30 minutes of taking the syrup, the same dose can be repeated once the child feels better. However, if it's close to the next dose time, the missed dose can be skipped. Inform the doctor about other medications, allergies, or medical conditions the child may have, and exercise caution if the child has kidney disease.
