Xyloson Adult 0.1 % Nasal Drops 10 ML

Xyloson Adult 0.1 % Nasal Drops 10 ML are used for the following:

• Unblocking nasal passages during a common cold or flu

• Easing breathing discomfort caused by hay fever, also known as allergic rhinitis

• Reducing sinus congestion linked to upper respiratory allergies

• Alleviating stuffy nose related to sinusitis

• Clear your nostrils by gently blowing your nose before using the drops.

• Wash your hands with soap and water.

• Sit or lie down and tilt your head backwards.

• Carefully place the prescribed number of drops into each nostril without letting the bottle tip touch your nose.

• Keep your head tilted back for a few minutes to allow the drops to spread inside the nasal passages.

• After use, clean the dropper tip with a tissue and replace the cap immediately.

Xyloson Adult 0.1 % Nasal Drops 10 ML are instilled topically.

Xyloson Adult 0.1 % Nasal Drops 10 ML contain Xylometazoline (0.1%), which works in the following ways:

• Vasoconstriction: Xylometazoline stimulates alpha-adrenergic receptors in the blood vessels of your nasal passages, causing them to constrict or narrow down. This action reduces the swelling and inflammation in your nose.

• Reduction of Nasal Blockage: By causing vasoconstriction, Xylometazoline effectively decreases the swelling in your nasal passages. This results in reduced airway resistance and improved drainage of sinus secretions, helping restore free breathing through your nose.

• Localised Action: The effects of Xylometazoline are localised in the nasal passages, which minimises rebound congestion or the return of nasal blockage after stopping the medicine.

• Store Xyloson Adult 0.1 % Nasal Drops 10 ML at room temperature, ideally between 15°C and 30°C.

• Keep the product away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Ensure the bottle is tightly closed when not in use.

• Keep this medication out of the reach of children.

• If you are suffering from sinusitis or other nasal allergies, try to avoid known allergens in your diet, such as dairy products or gluten, which can increase mucus production and worsen symptoms.

• During flu or cold seasons, maintain a balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables to boost your immune system. This may help prevent common colds that often lead to nasal congestion.
