Usibon 300 Tablet 10

Usibon-300 Tablet is used for the following:

• Dissolving cholesterol gallstones in the gallbladder for patients where surgery is not suitable

• Managing primary biliary cirrhosis, a condition that gradually destroys the bile ducts in your liver, leading to damage

• Preventing the formation of gallstones in obese patients who are rapidly losing weight

Here's how you should take Usibon-300 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Don't crush or chew it.

• Stick to the dose recommended by your doctor. Do not take more than advised.

• If you're considering stopping this medicine, consult your doctor first. They will guide you on how to safely stop taking it.

Usibon-300 Tablet is taken orally.

Usibon-300 Tablet contains Ursodeoxycholic Acid (300 mg). It works on the body in the following ways:

• Reduces Cholesterol Absorption and Production: Ursodeoxycholic Acid decreases the absorption of cholesterol in the intestine and the production of cholesterol in the liver.

• Increases Cholesterol Solubility: By increasing the solubility of cholesterol in bile, it allows cholesterol to be dissolved and eliminated more easily.

• Protects the Liver: In cases of primary biliary cirrhosis, Ursodeoxycholic Acid replaces the toxic bile acids that accumulate in the liver and cause damage to liver cells, thereby offering protection to the liver.

• Keep Usibon-300 Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 20-25°C.

• Avoid exposure to direct light and moisture.

• Make sure the medicine is out of reach of children.

• Always remember to use the medicine before its expiry date.

• If you're taking Usibon-300 Tablet for gallstones, consider a low-fat diet. Less fat means less work for your gallbladder.

• With primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC), limit alcohol intake. Alcohol can increase liver damage, undermining the benefits of your medicine. As always, consult your doctor for personalised advice.
