UFH Injection is primarily used to manage and prevent blood clot formation in various conditions. It's an anticoagulant medication, which means it's designed to prevent your blood from clotting too easily.
In addition to this primary use, this medicine is also used to manage conditions such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), which is when blood clots form in the deep veins of your legs. It also helps manage pulmonary embolism (PE), a condition where blood clots block your lungs, and unstable angina pectoris, which involves chest pain due to reduced blood flow to your heart. Moreover, it's used for acute peripheral arterial occlusion, a blockage of blood vessels in your limbs.
Before you start using this medicine, make sure to consult your doctor about the dosage and frequency. Let your doctor know about any existing health conditions and any other medications you're currently taking. If you notice any side effects while using this medication, notify your doctor immediately. Lastly, it’s important to continue using the medicine for the entire duration recommended by your doctor.
