Trioday Tablet 30

Trioday Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing HIV-1 infection in adults and children weighing over 40 kg

• Preventing progression of HIV to Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS)

• Lowering the risk of HIV-related complications

• Reducing the chances of opportunistic infections associated with HIV

Follow these instructions while taking Trioday Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet, as this may affect its effectiveness.

• It's crucial not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first, even if you feel better. Stopping suddenly can make your condition worse.

Trioday Tablet is taken orally.

Trioday Tablet contains three active ingredients:

• Efavirenz (600 mg): This is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI) that works by attaching itself to and blocking a key enzyme in HIV-1 virus, known as reverse transcriptase. By doing so, it prevents the virus from converting its genetic material, RNA, into DNA.

• Lamivudine (300 mg): This ingredient is a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI). It works by integrating itself into the DNA of the virus during replication, causing it to terminate early and thus inhibiting the replication of the virus.

• Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate (300 mg): This is a nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NtRTI). After conversion to tenofovir diphosphate inside the cells of your body, it competes with the natural substrate deoxyadenosine 5'-triphosphate, effectively inhibiting the activity of the HIV-1 reverse transcriptase enzyme.

• Store Trioday Tablet at room temperature.

• Keep it away from light and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.

• This medicine should not be accessible to children to prevent accidental ingestion.

• Always check the expiry date before use; expired medicine may not be effective.
