Tacrograf 2.0 Capsule is commonly used for:

Here's how to take Tacrograf 2.0 Capsule:

• Always swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Do not chew, crush or break open the capsule.

• Take this medicine at similar times each day to maintain consistent blood levels.

• If you have trouble swallowing, consult your doctor for advice.

Tacrograf 2.0 Capsule is taken orally.

Tacrograf 2.0 Capsule contains tacrolimus (2 mg), which acts on the body in various ways:

• Calcineurin Inhibition: Tacrolimus works by inhibiting an enzyme called calcineurin that's essential for activating T-cells. T-cells are a type of white blood cell that plays a significant role in the body's immune response.

• Suppression of T-cell Activation: By forming a complex with an intracellular protein called FKBP-12, tacrolimus inhibits calcineurin's activity, preventing certain processes necessary for T-cell activation.

• Reduced Immune Response: The inhibition of T-cell activation leads to suppressed immune responses such as organ rejection and hypersensitivity reactions.

• Inhibited T-cell Proliferation: Tacrolimus also curtails the proliferation of T-cells induced by cellular mitogens and hinders the production of certain proteins like interleukin-2 and interferon-gamma involved in the immune response.

• Store Tacrograf 2.0 Capsule at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine away from moisture and light.

• Always retain the capsules in the original blister pack until immediately before use.

• Ensure it is out of reach and sight of children.

• Always remember to check the expiry date and use before it.

• Since Tacrograf 2.0 Capsule can cause hyperglycaemia or high blood sugar levels, you should aim for a balanced diet with controlled sugar intake.

• Given the potential for hypertension or high blood pressure, try to limit your salt intake.
