Syncefix 250 MG Capsule 10

Syncefix Capsule is used in the following conditions:

• Managing uncomplicated urinary tract infections

• Handling pharyngitis and tonsillitis caused by Streptococcus pyogenes

• Controlling acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis

• Dealing with uncomplicated cervical/urethral gonorrhoea

• Assisting in managing other gastrointestinal issues such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)

• Helping in controlling vaginal and urinary tract infections

• Follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor precisely.

• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

• Consult your doctor before discontinuing the medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.

• Adhere to the dietary recommendations given by your doctor.

Syncefix Capsule is taken orally.

Syncefix Capsule comprises two active ingredients:

• Cefixime (250 mg): This is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. Cefixime attaches itself to penicillin-binding proteins inside the bacterial cell wall which disrupts the linking of peptidoglycan chains necessary for bacterial cell wall strength. Thus, by weakening the cell wall, cefixime causes bacteria to break down due to osmotic pressure.

• Lactobacillus acidophilus (60 million spores): This probiotic bacterium naturally found in human guts helps restore normal microbial balance in intestines which may be disrupted by antibiotic therapy. Lactobacillus acidophilus inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria, enhances immune function, and reduces inflammation. By preventing diarrhoea, it ensures patient compliance in completing the full course of antibiotic treatment.

• Store Syncefix Capsule in its original packaging to protect it from light and moisture.

• Keep it at room temperature.

• Ensure that the medicine is kept out of sight and reach of children.

• Always check the expiry date on the pack and use the medicine before that date.
