Rumalef 20 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing active rheumatoid arthritis in adults

• Controlling active psoriatic arthritis in adults

Follow these instructions while taking Rumalef 20 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Do not take more than the dose prescribed by your doctor.

• It's crucial not to stop taking this medicine unless advised to do so by your doctor.

Rumalef 20 Tablet is taken orally.

Rumalef 20 Tablet contains Leflunomide (20 mg), which acts on your body as follows:

• Inhibits Pyrimidine Synthesis: Leflunomide inhibits the synthesis of a substance called pyrimidine, which is needed for the growth and reproduction of cells that divide rapidly. These include the immune cells that cause inflammation in rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis.

• Reduces Inflammation: By reducing the activity of these immune cells, Leflunomide helps to decrease inflammation. This leads to a significant reduction in symptoms such as pain, stiffness, and swelling in the joints.

• Slows Disease Progression: By modulating the immune response, this medicine slows the progression of both rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, thereby helping to preserve joint function over time.

• Store Rumalef 20 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 25°C.
