Roko 2 MG Capsule 10

Roko 2 mg capsule may lead to side effects. However, many people may not have side effects or have only minor ones. The common side effects occur in more than 1 in 100 people.

Consult your doctor if these side effects do not disappear:

• Constipation: Roko 2 mg capsule is used for loose motion, slowing down bowel movements and leading to constipation. Patients should drink plenty of fluids and eat a high-fibre diet to help prevent constipation.
• Dizziness: Some patients may experience dizziness or lightheadedness while taking Roko 2 mg capsule. Patients should refrain from driving or operating heavy machinery until they know how Roko 2 mg capsule affects them.
• Nausea: It is a common side effect of the Roko 2 mg capsule. 
• Headaches: It is a typical side effect of Roko 2 mg capsule, but it is generally mild and goes away.
• Flatulence: Roko 2 mg capsule can cause gas and bloating in some patients. 

Managing the Side effects: 

• Constipation: Stop taking Roko 2 mg capsule. Consume more fibre-rich foods like fruit, veggies, cereals, and lots of water if you suffer from constipation. Try to exercise regularly, such as a daily run or walk.
• Dizziness: If you get dizzy when you rise after taking Roko 2 mg capsule, try getting up slowly or sit down until you feel better. If you start feeling dizzy, lie down to avoid fainting, then remain until you feel better. Avoid driving, cycling, or using tools or machinery if you feel dizzy.
• Nausea: Consider consuming a Roko 2 mg capsule with or after food. Maintaining a simple diet and avoiding fatty or spicy foods may also be beneficial.
• Headaches: Taking rest and consuming plenty of fluids are essential. Don't consume too much alcohol. Consult your doctor if your headaches last longer.
• Flatulence: Avoid foods like lentils, beans, and onions that make you bloated. Eating smaller portions, eating more frequently, chewing food thoroughly, and exercising frequently may also be beneficial. 

Precautions:

PREGNANCY

Roko 2 mg capsule in pregnancy is usually not recommended. This is because there is insufficient information to say whether it is safe.

If you're pregnant, consult your doctor before taking Roko 2 mg capsule.

BREASTFEEDING

Roko 2 mg capsule may be found in trace quantities in human breast milk. As a result, Roko 2 mg capsule during breastfeeding is not advised. Women who are breastfeeding their children should contact a doctor for appropriate treatment.

ALCOHOL

Avoid drinking alcohol while taking Roko 2 mg capsule. Alcohol makes you sleepy or dizzy, and has difficulty concentrating.

LIVER

Roko 2 mg capsule should be used cautiously in people with liver disease. In this case, a dose adjustment of Roko Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor for guidance.

KIDNEY

People with kidney disease should use Roko 2 mg capsule cautiously. However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.

USING MACHINES AND DRIVING

Do not drive or operate machinery, as Roko 2 mg capsule may make you feel dizzy, tired or sleepy.  

ALLERGY

If you are allergic to loperamide or any other ingredients in Roko 2 mg capsule, you may experience allergic reactions. If any of the allergic symptoms appear, get medical attention immediately.

USE IN CHILDREN

Roko 2 mg capsule is not recommended for children under 12. It is used cautiously in children (above 12 years of age) for short-term diarrhoea. Consult your paediatrician for advice.

USE IN OLDER PATIENTS

Roko 2 mg capsules should be used cautiously in elderly patients with severe diarrhoea due to loss of body fluids and electrolytes. 

Interaction

1. Drug-Drug Interactions

Some medicines can affect the functionality of the Roko 2 mg capsule. Check with your doctor if you're taking:

• Ritonavir - used to treat HIV infection
• Quinidine - used to treat abnormal heartbeats 
• Itraconazole - used to treat fungal infections
• Gemfibrozil - used to treat high cholesterol
• Desmopressin - used for excessive urination
• Diphenhydramine and cetirizine - used to treat allergies

Consult your doctor if you have severe diarrhoea, and if you take metformin for diabetes or medicines for high BP or heart failure, your doctor may ask you to stop taking these medicines for a few days until you get relief from diarrhoea.

2. Drug-Food Interactions: 

• Roko 2 mg Capsule should not be taken with alcohol as it leads to excessive drowsiness or sleepiness.
• Patients taking Roko 2 mg capsules should avoid consuming high-fat meals. High-fat meals can delay the absorption of Roko 2 mg capsule in the body, which can decrease the effectiveness of the medication.

3. Drug-Disease Interactions:

• Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD): Roko 2 mg capsule is commonly used to treat diarrhoea. However, it should be used cautiously in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. Patients with IBD taking Roko 2 mg capsule have a higher risk of adverse events such as abdominal distention, nausea, and constipation. 
• Liver Disease: Patients with liver disease have an increased risk of side effects while taking Roko 2 mg capsule. Patients with liver disease are closely monitored for adverse events while taking Roko 2 mg capsule.
• Renal Impairment: Patients with renal impairment are more likely to experience negative effects after taking Roko 2 mg capsule. Patients with renal impairment are closely monitored for adverse side effects after using a Roko 2 mg capsule.
