Risdone LS Tablet can help manage various health issues, such as:

• Schizophrenia: A mental disorder causing distorted thoughts, hallucinations, delusions, and a loss of touch with reality.
• Acute manic episodes in bipolar disorder: Characterised by extreme mood swings, excessive energy, irritability, and reckless behaviour.

To use Risdone LS Tablet correctly:

• Take the tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
• It is advisable to take it at night and at the same time each day to maintain consistent levels in your body.

Risdone LS Tablet is taken orally, which means it is swallowed with water. It is not to be taken by injection or applied topically.

Risdone LS Tablet contains two active ingredients: risperidone and trihexyphenidyl.

• Risperidone modulates the action of certain chemical messengers in the brain called dopamine and serotonin. This helps in reducing the symptoms of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
• Trihexyphenidyl works by blocking the action of another chemical messenger called acetylcholine in the brain. This helps in managing some of the side effects caused by risperidone, such as muscle stiffness or tremors.
