Management of side effects
Blurred vision: Give rest to eyes by simply closing them for some time or any non-medicated eye drops for relaxing, and avoid any allergy-causing agents to the eyes.
Dry mouth: Chew sugar-free gums to increase saliva production, limit caffeine consumption, and avoid using alcohol-based mouthwashes to prevent mouth dryness.
Constipation: For a long term benefits include fibre-rich foods, exercise regularly, and use of prebiotics and probiotics.
Less urination: Drink plenty of water or rehydration fluids containing electrolytes.
Dizziness, drowsiness and weakness: Exercise, yoga, counsel for diet and nutrition habits. Rest, take a short nap, come out of fatigue and start a conversation; doing these will relieve drowsiness.
Nausea & vomiting:
- Drink clear liquids or ice-cold liquids.
- Eat light and bland foods.
- Avoid fried and sweet food items.
- Do not mix cold and hot foods.
Headache: Rest quietly, massage your head, and consume little caffeine.
Precautions
Pregnancy
It is unsafe during pregnancy. In general, pacitane 2mg tablet is not referred to during pregnancy. Only if the potential benefits for the mother justify the unknown risk to the foetus, it is indicated in the pregnancy.
Breastfeeding
Pacitane tablets may suppress milk production. Only if the benefit to the mother is present and there is no potential risk to infant pacitane should it be recommended during breastfeeding.
Alcohol
Alcohol may add up to the existing pacitane 2mg tablet effects. So it should be avoided.
Liver
Patients with impaired liver function should be monitored. At the same time, taking pacitane tablets since side effects may increase due to a reduction in the metabolism of pacitane.
Kidney
Patients with impaired renal function should be monitored carefully while taking pacitane tablets since side effects may increase due to a reduction in the metabolism of pacitane.
Using machines and driving
Pacitane 2mg tablet may impair mental & physical conditions like reduced alertness, drowsiness, sleepiness, blurring of vision, and mental confusion using machines, and driving with these effects may be hazardous.
Allergy
If you have an allergic reaction (hypersensitivity) to Trihexyphenidyl or any of the other components, do not take Pacitane tablets. We recommend that you consult a doctor as soon as possible.
Use in children
The safety and effectiveness of pacitane 2mg tablet in children are not established, so it should not be used in children.
Use in older patients
The Pacitane tablets regimen is started with a low dose by a doctor for older people. The sensitivity of pacitane increases with age, significantly above 60. Caution is required for older adults with central nervous system diseases.
