The Nexpro RD 40 belongs to the drugs used for treating diseases affecting the gastrointestinal tract. It treats gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and stomach ulcers.
Nexprord 40 composition is a combination of two drugs, esomeprazole and domperidone. Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor, inhibiting stomach acid production. At the same time, domperidone is a dopamine antagonist with prokinetic and anti-emetic effects.
The common side effects of Nexpro RD 40 are dry mouth, stomach pain, diarrhoea, headache and flatulence; most can be treated or left alone. If the side effects stay longer, visit the doctor for advice.
Seek a doctor’s advice if you are pregnant or plan to breastfeed. The Nexpro RD 40 may cause dizziness and avoid activities needing attention and focus. Avoid consuming alcohol as it increases stomach acid production. It does not directly interfere with the Nexpro RD 40.
Ensure the doctor knows about the other medicines, including herbal formulations, you take along with the Nexpro RD 40.
