The Nexpro RD 40 side effects are

• Headaches
• Stomach ache
• Diarrhoea
• Constipation
• Flatulence
• Nausea 
• Vomiting 

Managing side effects

Stomach pain:

• The stomach pain can be managed by
• Drink plenty of clear fluids like water.
• Reduce caffeine and alcohol consumption.
• Eat bland food once you start eating. 

Diarrhoea:

• Management of diarrhoea can be done by drinking plenty of fluids, avoiding caffeine and alcohol, and eating easily digestible foods like bananas, toast, and fibre-less foods

Flatulence:

• Avoid foods which cause flatulence. Eat foods in smaller portions, and eat slowly.

Nausea and vomiting:

• Nausea and vomiting can be managed by drinking clear and ice-cold drinks. Eating light and bland foods and avoiding greasy and sweet foods.

Constipation:

• Drink more water than routine consumption. Include fibre-rich fruits and vegetables, exercise, and avoid the foods that cause constipation. 

Precautions

Pregnancy

Clinical data on the effect of Nexpro RD 40 on pregnancy is insufficient. Caution is advised when Nexpro RD 40 is indicated during pregnancy.

     Breastfeeding

The information and data of Nexpro RD 40 passing out in breast milk is absent. Therefore, the use of Nexpro RD 40 is not indicated in breastfeeding women. 

     Alcohol 

The Nexpro RD 40 increases stomach acid production while taking it along with alcohol which leads to conditions like heartburn. So it is good to avoid alcohol when taking Nexpro RD 40.

Liver

The metabolism of Nexpro RD 40 is altered in mild to moderate liver dysfunction. Use nexpro RD with caution in case of severe liver diseases and insufficiencies.

Kidney

The dosage alteration of Nexpro RD 40 is required in acute renal failure patients. Use nexpro RD with caution in case of kidney diseases and insufficiencies.

Using machines and driving 

The Nexpro RD 40 may cause visual disturbances and dizziness. Hence, caution is advised while using machines and driving when taking Nexpro RD 40. 

Allergy

Use nexpro RD with caution if allergic to any constituents of Nexpro RD 40.

Use in children

The safety and effectiveness of Nexpro RD 40 are not established. So, Nexpro RD 40 is not indicated for children.

Use in older patients. 

Dosage alterations are not required for elderly patients. However, Nexpro RD 40 should be used with caution in older patients. 

Interactions 

Drug-drug interactions

The Nexpro RD 40 can interact with other drugs, including 

• Antifungal medications, such as ketoconazole and itraconazole
• Antibiotics, such as clarithromycin and rifampin
• Blood thinners, such as warfarin
• Anti-anxiety drugs, such as diazepam and lorazepam
• Immunosuppressants, such as tacrolimus and cyclosporine
• Methotrexate
• Vitamins or supplements containing iron, magnesium, or calcium

Drug-food interactions

• The Nexpro RD 40 is found to interact with all foods, so it is good to take the Nexpro RD 40 at least one hour before food. Inform the doctor about other medicines you may be taking.

Drug-disease interactions

The Nexpro RD 40 can interact with diseases, including 

• Bone fractures 
• Hypomagnesia
• Liver disease 
• Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea
