Neukine Injection is primarily used to prevent infections in patients with non-myeloid malignancies who are undergoing myelosuppressive anti-cancer treatments. This medicine belongs to a group of medications known as granulocyte colony-stimulating factors.
In addition to this primary use, this injection can also be used to speed up neutrophil recovery and reduce the duration of fever in patients receiving chemotherapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). It is also used in cases of bone marrow transplantation, congenital, cyclic, or idiopathic neutropenia, and for those exposed to myelosuppressive doses of radiation.
