Managing side effects helps reduce discomfort and provide the best potential patient outcomes.
- Headache: After consulting your doctor, take over-the-counter pain relievers to manage the headache.
- Dizziness: Avoid sudden movements; sit or lie down until the dizziness passes. Also, avoid activities that require alertness until you feel better.
- Drowsiness: Try to get enough sleep and avoid operating heavy machinery or driving while feeling drowsy.
- Fatigue: Rest when you feel tired, and avoid activities that require a lot of physical or mental energy. Eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly can also help reduce fatigue.
- Nausea: Eat small, frequent meals throughout the day and avoid foods that are greasy, spicy, or acidic. Drinking ginger tea or taking ginger supplements can also help alleviate nausea.

ALCOHOL
Caution is advised while consuming alcohol with Montair LC Tablet. Take proper advice from the doctor before using this drug and consuming alcohol.
LIVER
Montair LC Tablet should be used cautiously in patients with liver disease. In a person with liver dysfunction, Montair LC ingredients can be eliminated from the body without treating the disease.
KIDNEY
Montair LC Tablet does not need any dosage adjustment with kidney impairment conditions.
USING MACHINES AND DRIVING
Dizziness and drowsiness are experienced in some patients when taking Montair LC Tablet. Largely it does not interfere with the ability to drive and use machines.
No sufficient data and studies indicate that Montair LC Tablet interferes with mental alertness, reactivity or ability to drive.
Some patients have experienced somnolence (tiredness) fatigue under the influence of the Montair LC Tablet. Therefore, the drug should be taken strictly under the doctor's advice when handling machines and driving.
ALLERGY
Allergic reaction due to the Montair LC tablet is rare. The allergy symptoms with Montair LC tablets may include hives, swelling of the face, tongue, lips, or throat and difficulty breathing. If you have a history of allergic reactions to any medications or foods, take the help of your doctor to make an informed decision about the treatment.
USE IN CHILDREN
Using Montair LC in children below six is not recommended. You must consult your paediatrician before giving it to your child.
USE IN OLDER PATIENTS
Older patients may require a lower dose than younger adults. Additionally, older patients may have other health conditions and may be taking other medications that can interact with Montair LC. Therefore, inform your healthcare provider about any underlying medical conditions, allergies, or medications you are taking before starting the Montair LC tablet.
OTHER PRECAUTIONS FOR MONTAIR LC Tablet
- Montair LC tablet cannot be used to reverse spasms in the bronchi in acute asthma attacks. montelukast should not be substituted for oral or inhalation corticosteroids.
- Patients with asthma exacerbations due to exercises should have short-acting beta-agonists handy with them.
- Montair LC Tablet may cause mild to moderate central nervous system depression which leads to sleepiness and difficulty in concentration.
- Aspirin sensitivity: The patients with aspirin sensitivity do not have much interference with the Montair LC tablet. But in some patients, it stopped the bronchoconstriction in a few aspirin-sensitive patients.
- Phenylketonuria: Patients with high amounts of phenylalanine in the blood should be warned about the use of Montair LC tablets as phenylalanine in the form of aspartame is present.
