Mindruff Lotion is a 'keratolytic agent' used to treat skin disorders such as psoriasis, dandruff, and seborrheic dermatitis, as well as to reduce inflammation (scaly patches and red skin on the scalp). Mindruff Scalp Lotion, moisturises, and prevents skin hardness, thickening, and scaling. Psoriasis is a skin condition in which skin cells proliferate up to ten times faster than normal, resulting in bumpy (uneven) red areas covered in white scales on the skin. On the lower back, elbows, and the scalp are frequent locations. Two medicines: Salicylic acid (a peeling agent) and Coal Tar are the ingredients of Mindruff Scalp Lotion. When applied to the cornified epithelium or horny layer of the skin, salicylic acid acts as a keratolytic (softens, separates and peels). In addition to increasing the skin's hydration, salicylic acid breaks down the material that holds the skin cells together. Removes dead skin cells and softens the skin by breaking down the keratin clusters. Salicylic acid is also a topical antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agent. Seborrhea (scaly and red skin spots primarily on the scalp) and corns and calluses can be removed using it. Coal tar is a member of the keratoplastic drug family (thickens the keratin layers). The top layer of dead skin cells is removed, and the formation of new skin cells is slowed. As a result, the itching associated with a variety of skin disorders is lessened.
