Lacrigel Ocular Lubricant 5gm

• Lacrigel Ocular Lubricant is used to provide hydration to dry eyes.
• It is also used to hydrate rigid contact lenses and lubricate artificial eyes.

• Thoroughly wash your hands before handling the lubricant.
• Exercise caution to avoid contact between the tip of the tube and any part of the eye or other surfaces.
• During the initial use, securely screw the cap down to pierce the tub's tip.
• Incline your head backward, directing your gaze towards the ceiling.
• Pull down the lower eyelid, positioning the tube upside down above the eye level. Apply gentle pressure to release a lubricant into the eye.
• Close the affected eye and apply fingertip pressure to the inside corner for 1 minute.
• If necessary, repeat the process for the other eye.
• Immediately replace and tighten the cap after each use.

Lacrigel Ocular Lubricant is for ophthalmic and external use only. 

Lacrigel Ocular Lubricant contains the following ingredient:

• Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose (2%): It works as an artificial tear and maintains an optimal moisture balance on the eye's surface. It forms a protective layer on the ocular surface, shielding it from external irritants and relieving sensations like burning and irritation associated with dry eye syndrome.

The storage instructions for the Lacrigel Ocular Lubricant are as follows:

• Avoid storing this medicine above 25 °C.
• Refrigeration is not necessary.
• Ensure the tube is tightly closed.
• Do not use after the stated expiry date, found after "Use by" on the box or tube.
• Do not use it if the solution appears blurry or has changed colour.
• Do not use if the cap preventing accidental opening is not entirely in contact with the tube.
• Dispose of unused medicines responsibly by consulting your pharmacist. 

• Avoid dry climates.
• Reduce screen time on the TV or computer.
• Combat environmental dry eye triggers by donning protective eyewear outdoors in windy conditions and avoiding cigarette smoke exposure.
• Opt for soft contact lenses over hard ones if you have dry eyes, as they provide moisture and allow the eyes to breathe better. Limit contact lens use.
• Consider taking omega-3 fatty acid supplements, as they may aid in treating dry eyes.
