Justoza-M 10/500 Tablet is used for the following:

• Improving blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes

• Reducing the risk of hospitalisation for heart failure in type 2 diabetic patients

• Helping when diet and exercise alone does not provide adequate blood sugar control

• Assisting when single antidiabetic agent therapy does not result in adequate glycemic control

Take Justoza-M 10/500 Tablet as follows:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• It should be taken along with an evening meal.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Consult your doctor before changing the dosage or stopping this medication.

Justoza-M 10/500 Tablet is taken orally.

Justoza-M 10/500 Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Dapagliflozin (10 mg): This component belongs to a group of medicines known as SGLT2 (sodium-glucose co-transporter 2) inhibitors. These work by making the kidneys remove glucose from your bloodstream through urine, therefore increasing glucose excretion and reducing renal glucose reabsorption.

• Metformin (500 mg): Metformin is an anti-hyperglycaemic agent that decreases glucose production by the liver and reduces intestinal absorption of glucose. It also improves insulin sensitivity, which leads to an increase in peripheral glucose uptake and utilisation. Importantly, Metformin does not cause hypoglycemia.
