Jalra-M 50 mg/1000 mg Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Use Jalra-M 50 mg/1000 mg Tablet in this way:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew or split the tablets.

• Take it at the same times each day, usually twice daily with meals.

Jalra-M 50 mg/1000 mg Tablet is taken orally.

Jalra-M 50 mg/1000 mg Tablet contains two active ingredients that work in unique ways to control blood sugar levels:

• Vildagliptin (50 mg): This ingredient inhibits an enzyme known as DPP-4, which breaks down hormones called incretins. Incretins such as GLP-1 and GIP are known to stimulate the release of insulin from your pancreas when your blood sugar levels are high and suppress the secretion of glucagon, a hormone that raises blood sugar levels, from your pancreatic alpha cells. By inhibiting DPP-4, vildagliptin prolongs the action of these incretins, leading to better regulation of your blood sugar levels.
