Hexigel Gel is beneficial for the following:

• Management of gingivitis, which is inflammation of the gums

• Controlling oral candidiasis, also known as oral thrush, a fungal infection in the mouth

• Helping to heal aphthous or other types of mouth ulcers

• Prevention of dental plaque build-up to maintain good oral hygiene

Administer Hexigel Gel as follows:

• Make sure your hands are clean before handling the gel.

• Apply Hexigel directly to the affected areas in your mouth.

• Avoid rinsing your mouth or consuming any food or drink for at least half an hour after application.

• Remember not to swallow the gel. If you do accidentally, seek medical advice.

• For specific dosage and application instructions, consult your doctor.

Hexigel is applied topically.

Hexigel Gel contain Chlorhexidine gluconate (1%) as an active ingredient:

• Binds Strongly to Bacterial Cell Walls and Membranes: Chlorhexidine gluconate binds powerfully to bacterial cell walls and membranes. This disrupts the integrity of these structures, causing leakage of intracellular components and leading ultimately to cell death.

• Provides Sustained Antimicrobial Activity: In the oral cavity, chlorhexidine gluconate binds to tooth surfaces, oral mucosa, and salivary proteins. This creates a reservoir that provides ongoing antimicrobial activity.

• Reduces Bacterial Load: By binding to these surfaces and proteins, chlorhexidine gluconate helps lower the bacterial load in your mouth.

• Prevents Growth of Harmful Microorganisms: The sustained antimicrobial activity prevents the growth of harmful microorganisms responsible for gum disease, tooth decay, and bad breath.

• Store Hexigel at a temperature below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging, tightly sealed to protect from moisture and light.

• Place it in a spot that is out of children's reach.

• If you're dealing with gum inflammation or oral infections, consider reducing your sugar intake. Sugary foods can promote bacterial growth in the mouth and worsen these conditions.

• For those with mouth ulcers, avoid spicy or acidic foods as they can irritate the ulcers and slow down their healing process.
