• Gerbisa 5mg tablet is used in the treatment of constipation.
• It is used for clearing the stomach contents before surgery or any medical examination. 
• The medicine is also used to treat irregular stomach movement in some cases. 

• Follow the instructions as per your pharmacist or doctor's recommendations. To ensure proper usage of Gerbisa, it is important to follow these guidelines:
• Take the tablet with a glass of water.
• Swallow the tablet as a whole, do not crush or chew it.
• Take Gerbisa at least one hour before having food, milk or other medications such as antacids and proton pump inhibitors. This allows for proper absorption and avoids any potential interactions between the medications.

Gerbisa 5 mg tablets should be taken orally. 

• An active component, Bisacodyl stimulates the nerve endings present in the intestine. This causes the small intestine muscles to contract and increase the intestine’s movements, pushing the stool outside the body. But when Gerbisa is used for a long duration, it may potentially cause damage to the nerve supply in the intestine. So be cautious of its use for a long run of time.

• Store Gerbisa 5mg tablets at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect the medicine from heat and light.
• Keep the tablet away from the reach of children.
• Do not use the tablet after the expiry date has passed.

• It is advisable to maintain a healthy and balanced diet to promote a healthy stomach.
• Exercise regularly for the best physical and mental health. It keeps the organs of the body healthy and improves blood circulation, ensuring proper nourishment and overall well-being. 
• Stay hydrated and drink fluids like lemon water and fresh fruit juices. As the body is majorly composed of water, maintaining proper hydration is essential for the smooth functioning of various activities of organs.
• Eat fibre-rich foods like nuts, lentils, oatmeals, beans, apples, oranges, broccoli, spinach and sweet potatoes as these will help to maintain a healthy gut.
• Some individuals may experience minor weight loss while taking Gerbisa tablets which is due to the secretion of fluids from the intestine and elimination from the body. It is an effect of this medicine but not a remedy for weight loss. 

• Do not take any other indigestion remedies simultaneously with Gerbisa tablets. However, if it becomes necessary to do so, it is advised to wait for at least two hours after taking Gerbisa tablets before consuming any other indigestion remedies.
• During pregnancy, especially in the first trimester, it is important to exercise caution and take special care. The safety of using stimulant laxatives like Gerbisa during pregnancy can vary depending on individual factors, so it should be used with caution and under the guidance of a doctor.
• Take some time to plan and empty the bowels when you feel the urge to defecate.
