For boys and men:

• This vaccine is indicated for boys and men aged 9 through 26 years to prevent the following diseases caused by HPV types included in the vaccine:
• Anal cancer caused by HPV types 16 and 18.
• Genital warts (condyloma acuminata) caused by HPV types 6 and 11.
• Precancerous or dysplastic lesions caused by HPV types 6, 11, 16, and 18, including anal intraepithelial neoplasia (AIN) grades 1, 2, and 3.

• Gardasil Vaccine is typically administered in a series of two or three shots, depending on the age of the person receiving the vaccine and your doctor's specific recommendations.
• The vaccine is injected into the muscle of the upper arm or thigh.
