Gabasafe 75 MG Capsule 10 is used for the following:

• Management of neuropathic pain conditions such as painful diabetic neuropathy, post-herpetic neuralgia, and pain resulting from spinal cord injury

• Alleviating widespread musculoskeletal pain and tenderness in fibromyalgia

• Reducing the frequency of partial-onset seizures when used in conjunction with other anti-epileptic medications

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water

• Avoid chewing, crushing, or breaking the capsule

• This medicine can be taken with or without food

Gabasafe 75 MG Capsule 10 is taken orally.

Gabasafe 75 MG Capsule 10 contains pregabalin (75 mg) and works as follows:

• Binds to Alpha-2-Delta Subunits: Pregabalin binds to alpha-2-delta subunits of voltage-gated calcium channels in the central nervous system, which are involved in nerve signal transmission.

• Reduces Neurotransmitter Release: By binding to these subunits, pregabalin reduces the release of certain neurotransmitters such as glutamate, noradrenaline, and substance P. These neurotransmitters are usually involved in transmitting pain signals and regulating mood.

• Modulates Neuronal Excitability: Pregabalin dampens neuronal excitability by reducing neurotransmitter release. This means it calms overactive nerves that signal excessive pain or trigger seizures.
