Dosin D Capsule 10

Dosin-D Capsule is used for managing the following health conditions:

• Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) in adult men with an enlarged prostate

• Difficulties starting urination due to an enlarged prostate

• Weak urine stream caused by BPH

• Frequent or urgent need to urinate due to BPH

• Increased frequency of urination at night (nocturia) as a result of BPH

• A feeling of incomplete bladder emptying associated with enlarged prostate

• Do not crush, chew, or open the capsule.

• If swallowing is difficult, sprinkle the contents on applesauce and swallow without chewing, followed by a glass of water.

• Continue taking this medicine even if symptoms improve, unless your doctor advises otherwise.

• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Don't double up on doses.

Dosin-D Capsule is taken orally.

Dosin-D Capsule consists of two active ingredients that work together in a unique way:

• Dutasteride (0.5 mg): As a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor, dutasteride blocks the action of an enzyme called 5-alpha reductase in your body. This enzyme transforms testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone responsible for prostate growth. By reducing DHT production, dutasteride leads to a gradual shrinking of the prostate over time, leading to improved urine flow and reduced BPH symptoms.

• Silodosin (8 mg): Silodosin falls under the category of alpha-1 adrenergic antagonists. It operates by relaxing the smooth muscles in your prostate gland and bladder neck by blocking alpha-1 receptors. This relaxation allows urine to flow more easily through your urethra and out of your body, relieving symptoms such as hesitancy, weak stream, and incomplete emptying.

• Store Dosin-D Capsule at room temperature, ideally 30°C.

• Keep away from direct sunlight and excess moisture.

• It's crucial to keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Check the expiry date before use and avoid using any capsules past this date.

• If you're managing benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), maintaining a balanced diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins can support overall health. Avoid spicy foods as they can sometimes worsen urinary symptoms.

• Regular exercise can help manage BPH. Aim for at least 30 minutes of light activity each day, like walking or cycling. But remember, always consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regimen.
