Dermalex Cream contains mometasone, a corticosteroid that belongs to the topical corticosteroid class of drugs. It's used to treat itching and redness associated with skin conditions like psoriasis and atopic eczema (atopic dermatitis) in adults and children aged 2 and up. Psoriasis is an auto-immune skin illness characterised by itchy, scaly, pink spots on the knees, elbows, scalp, and other body areas. External irritants, such as detergents, cause atopic eczema, which causes itchy, red, or brown spots on the skin. In the afflicted skin cells, mometasone reduces the formation of inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes, as well as the number of epidermal mitoses, apoptosis, and neutrophil survival. If your skin becomes inflamed or sensitive as a result of using this medicine, contact your doctor right once. Do not use this medicine on your face for longer than the manufacturer recommends. A plaster or bandage should not be used to cover treated regions on the face. Avoid putting this medicine near your eyes or on your eyelids.
