Clohex ADS Mouth Wash is used for:

• Managing gingivitis and periodontitis, conditions that cause inflammation and bleeding of the gums

• Maintaining oral hygiene, aiding in the control of bad breath and promoting healthy gums

• Supporting healing and preventing infection after dental procedures such as tooth extractions or gum surgery

• Providing symptomatic relief and promoting healing in cases of aphthous ulcers and oral mucositis, painful sores in the mouth.

• To use Clohex ADS Mouth Wash properly, follow these steps:

• Do not dilute. Use the mouthwash as it is.

• Measure 15ml of the mouthwash, equivalent to one capful.

• Rinse your mouth thoroughly for about 30 seconds.

• Remember to spit out the mouthwash after rinsing. Avoid swallowing it.

• Try not to eat or drink anything for at least 30 minutes after using the mouthwash to allow it to work effectively.

Clohex ADS Mouth Wash features three active ingredients:

• Chlorhexidine Gluconate (0.2%): Acting as a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent, chlorohexidine targets various bacteria, yeasts, and certain viruses. It binds to bacterial cell walls, altering their osmotic balance and increasing permeability. This enables chlorohexidine to enter the bacterial cells and cause protein coagulation leading to cell death.

• Sodium Fluoride (0.05%): This ingredient helps prevent dental caries by substituting fluoride ions for hydroxide ions in tooth crystal structure forming fluorapatite, which is more resistant to acid demineralisation by cariogenic bacteria. It also inhibits bacterial enzymes involved in carbohydrate metabolism thus reducing acid production.

• Zinc Chloride (0.09%): Known for its astringent, antiseptic, and anti-halitosis properties, zinc chloride forms a protective layer over mucous membranes and exposed skin providing a soothing effect. It demonstrates antimicrobial activity against various oral bacteria associated with plaque formation and bad breath. Furthermore, zinc aids in neutralising volatile sulphur compounds responsible for bad breath.

• Store Clohex ADS Mouth Wash at room temperature, ideally between 15-30°C.
