Budetrol 400 Capsule is used for the following:

• Long-term maintenance treatment of asthma in adults.

• Managing chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema in adults.

To take Budetrol 400 Capsule correctly, follow these instructions:

• Open your inhaler by twisting the mouthpiece, then place the capsule in the capsule chamber.

• Close the inhaler by twisting the mouthpiece until it clicks, piercing the capsule.

• Exhale fully, then place the mouthpiece in your mouth and inhale slowly and deeply, making sure you hear the capsule vibrate.

• Hold your breath for about 5 to 10 seconds, or as long as comfortable, then breathe out slowly.

• Repeat this process once or twice to ensure complete inhalation of the capsule contents.

• Dispose of the used capsule responsibly.

Budetrol 400 Capsule comprises two active ingredients:

• Formoterol Fumarate (6 mcg): This ingredient is a long-acting beta2-adrenergic receptor agonist, also known as LABA. It functions as a bronchodilator that relaxes the muscles of your airways and reduces constriction. Formoterol does this by stimulating an enzyme called adenyl cyclase to increase cyclic AMP levels inside cells. This process prevents the release of substances that can cause hypersensitivity reactions in cells, especially mast cells.

• Budesonide (400 mcg): As an inhaled corticosteroid, budesonide chiefly acts within your lungs to exert powerful anti-inflammatory effects. It inhibits certain cells and substances that contribute to airway inflammation, thereby reducing swelling and irritation in the airways.
