Bicidal Plus 250 Mg/250mg/60m Capsule 10 is used for the following:

• Management of respiratory tract infections such as pneumonia, bronchitis, and tonsillitis

• Controlling skin and soft tissue infections like cellulitis and abscesses

• Addressing urinary tract infections including cystitis and pyelonephritis

• Dealing with dental infections like periodontal abscess and dental caries

• Swallow the capsule whole with a full glass of water.

• It's best to take the capsule on an empty stomach, either one hour before eating or two hours after a meal.

• Ensure you take the capsules at evenly spaced intervals throughout the day, as this optimises their efficacy.

Bicidal Plus 250 Mg/250mg/60m Capsule 10 comprises three active ingredients:

• Amoxicillin (250 mg): Belonging to the penicillin class of antibiotics, amoxicillin works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. It binds to penicillin-binding proteins which are vital for the formation of peptidoglycan, a key component of the bacterial cell wall. This action causes bacteria to lose their ability to survive.

• Dicloxacillin (250 mg): Similar to amoxicillin, dicloxacillin is a beta-lactam antibiotic that operates by disrupting bacterial cell wall synthesis. It is especially effective against certain strains of Staphylococcus aureus that are resistant to regular penicillins.

• Lactobacillus (60 million CFUs): This probiotic ingredient helps maintain a healthy balance of gut flora during antibiotic therapy. By replenishing the gut with beneficial bacteria, it prevents diarrhoea that often occurs as a side effect of antibiotic use.
