Benzac Ac Gel Wash 100ml

Benzac AC Gel Wash is used for the following:

• Management of acne vulgaris: This condition is characterised by blackheads, whiteheads, and inflamed red spots appearing on the face, chest and back.

• Reduction of acne-causing bacteria: Benzac AC Gel Wash helps kill Propionibacterium acnes, which is responsible for causing acne inflammation.

• Unclogging of blocked skin pores: This product assists in skin peeling and increases skin cell turnover, which aids in unclogging the pores.

• Decreasing oiliness of the skin: Its mild desiccant effect helps to reduce oiliness, allowing excess sebum, dirt and dead skin to be washed off easily.

• Wet the areas of your skin affected by acne.

• Squeeze a small amount of the face wash onto your fingertips.

• Apply it on your skin, gently rubbing it in circular motions for about 10 to 20 seconds. Be careful to avoid your eyes, lips, mouth and nose.

• Rinse off thoroughly with water and pat your face dry with a clean towel.

• If needed, apply a moisturiser after washing your face.

Benzac AC Gel Wash is applied topically.

Benzac AC Gel Wash contains Benzoyl Peroxide (5%), which exhibits the following actions on your skin:

• Antibacterial: It produces free-radical oxygen that oxidises bacterial proteins in P. acnes, effectively reducing these acne-causing bacteria.

• Keratolytic: By increasing skin cell turnover, it helps peel off your skin, thus clearing blocked pores and managing comedones which are commonly known as blackheads and whiteheads.

• Drying: It works as a mild desiccant or drying agent, reducing oiliness and facilitating easy removal of excess sebum (skin oil), dirt and dead skin cells when washing your face.

• Store Benzac AC Gel Wash at room temperature, ideally below 25°C.

• Do not expose the product to direct sunlight or freeze it.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.

• Keep out of reach of children for safety.

• Always remember to use it before the expiry date.

• If you're using Benzac AC Gel Wash for acne management, try including foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids like fish, walnuts, and flaxseeds in your diet. Omega-3 fatty acids can help reduce inflammation, which could be beneficial for acne-prone skin.

• Stay hydrated and limit your consumption of sugary drinks. Dehydration can make your skin produce more oil, potentially leading to more breakouts. Drinking plenty of water helps maintain skin health.
