Benz Pearls Capsule contains benzonatate (100 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Suppresses Cough Reflex: Benzyl benzoate works by numbing the stretch receptors in your respiratory tract, lungs and pleura. These receptors send signals when stretched due to coughing or breathing irregularities.

• Reduces Nerve Impulse Transmission: By numbing these receptors, benzyl benzoate reduces the number of nerve impulses that reach the brain's cough centre. This helps in suppressing the urge to cough.
