Amlip 5 MG Tablet is a prescription medication used for hypertension (high blood pressure) and angina pectoris (chest pain).
Hypertension, commonly known as high blood pressure, is a chronic medical condition in which the force of blood against the walls of the arteries is consistently too high. Headaches, dizziness, shortness of breath, and visual changes characterise it. Hypertension can lead to serious health complications if left uncontrolled.
Whereas angina pectoris, commonly referred to as angina, is a condition characterised by chest pain or discomfort caused by reduced blood flow to the heart muscle. It typically occurs when there is an imbalance between the heart's oxygen demand and supply. The symptoms of angina include chest pain or discomfort, shortness of breath, fatigue, sweating, nausea and dizziness.
Amlip 5 MG Tablet composition includes Amlodipine Besilate (5 mg) as its active ingredient that helps to regulate blood pressure and improve blood flow, thereby reducing the workload on the heart and enhancing cardiovascular health.
While the Amlip 5 MG Tablet is generally considered safe and effective, it might only suit some. Patients with hypotension (low blood pressure) and severe aortic stenosis (a condition where the aortic valve of the heart is narrowed) should not take Amlip 5 MG Tablet until the doctor prescribes it.
