Abaxis 2.5 Tablet is used for numerous health conditions, including:

• Preventing blood clots following hip or knee replacement surgery

• Lowering the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation

• Managing deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism

• Reducing the chances of recurrent deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism after initial therapy

Here's how you should take Abaxis 2.5 Tablet :

• Swallow the tablet whole with some water.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• If you have trouble swallowing, you can crush the tablet and mix it with water, apple juice or applesauce.

Abaxis 2.5 Tablet contains apixaban (2.5 mg) which works in the body through the following mechanisms:

• Keep the medicine sealed in its original packaging to protect it from light and moisture.

• Ensure the tablets are out of reach and sight of children.
