How Meropenem works

Meropenem comes into the Carbapenem-type antibiotics category. It acts by blocking the synthesis of the bacterial protective coating (cell wall), which is crucial to the survival of the bacteria. It stops the infection from spreading and prevents the infection from becoming more serious without making the patient resistant to further treatment.
