Contraindications

• The combination of Isoniazid + Pyrazinamide + Rifampicin can interact with oral contraceptives (e.g., ethinylestradiol), anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin), anticonvulsants (e.g., phenytoin and carbamazepine), antiretrovirals (e.g., protease inhibitors and NNRTIs), antifungals (e.g., fluconazole, itraconazole), and corticosteroids (e.g., dexamethasone).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of Isoniazid + Pyrazinamide + Rifampicin may lead to severe liver damage. If you suspect an overdose, seek immediate medical attention.

• If you miss a dose, administer it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose to catch up.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• For nausea or vomiting, try to administer this medicine with or after a meal. Drinking plenty of water can also help.

• If you experience dizziness, avoid sudden changes in position and rise slowly if sitting or lying down.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• This combination of medicines may cause dizziness. Therefore, avoid driving or operating heavy machinery if you feel dizzy after administering this medicine.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• Isoniazid + Pyrazinamide + Rifampicin is not recommended during pregnancy unless the benefits outweigh the risks. It can be used during breastfeeding, but only under the advice of a doctor.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Patients with existing liver disease or who consume alcohol regularly should use this medicine with caution, as it can worsen liver function. Patients prone to gout attacks should exercise caution, as this combination is contraindicated in acute gout attacks.
