Contraindications

Other Medications to Avoid

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An acute overdose is unlikely with intranasal administration of Fluticasone Furoate. However, chronic excessive administration may lead to signs of hypercorticism. If this occurs, discontinue Fluticasone Furoate gradually.

• If you forget to administer this medicine, administer it as soon as you remember. But if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one. Never double the dose.

Most side effects are temporary, generally harmless, and resolve when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• Staying hydrated can help lower the chances of experiencing a headache.

• If you experience dryness or irritation in your nose, try using a saline nasal spray or humidifier to provide moisture.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• Fluticasone Furoate does not typically affect your ability to drive or operate heavy machinery. However, if you do feel drowsy or dizzy after using it, avoid these activities.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• Fluticasone Furoate is categorised as Pregnancy Category C. It should only be administered during pregnancy if the benefits justify the potential risks to the foetus.

• Nursing mothers are cautioned as it may pass into breast milk. Always consult your doctor before use.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Caution should be exercised in patients with infections (such as tuberculosis or Herpes simplex), as Fluticasone Furoate may worsen existing infections.

• Patients with recent nasal ulcers, surgery or trauma should also exercise caution due to the potential for impaired wound healing.
