Contraindications

• Flavoxate + Ofloxacin is contraindicated in patients with known allergies to flavoxate, ofloxacin, or other quinolone antibiotics.

• It is contraindicated for patients with myasthenia gravis, angle-closure glaucoma, urinary retention or bladder outlet obstruction, and severe kidney disease.

Other Medications to Avoid

• This combination may interact with anticholinergic medications (e.g., atropine, scopolamine), antacids (e.g., aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide), and CNS depressants (e.g., benzodiazepines, opioids).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of Flavoxate + Ofloxacin may cause severe dizziness, fainting, vision changes, tremors or even cardiac arrest. Seek immediate medical care if an overdose is suspected.

• If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, do not double up on the dose to compensate for the missed one.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless. They resolve when the medication is discontinued. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated.

• If you experience gastrointestinal side effects like nausea or diarrhoea, try taking the medication with meals.
