• Diosmin + Flavonoids can be taken orally (tablets and capsules).

Age and Dose Restrictions

• This combination is intended for use in adults and children above 12 years of age.

Contraindications

• Diosmin + Flavonoids should not be used by patients with known allergies to either diosmin or flavonoids. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe kidney or liver dysfunction.

Other Medications to Avoid

• Diosmin + Flavonoids may interact with anticoagulants and antiplatelets (e.g., warfarin, aspirin, and clopidogrel), Complement Inhibitor Agents - CYP3A4 substrates such as calcium channel blockers (e.g., amlodipine), statins (e.g., lovastatin, atorvastatin), benzodiazepines (e.g., diazepam, lorazepam) and P-glycoprotein (P-gp) substrates (e.g., digoxin and dabigatran).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of Diosmin + Flavonoids could lead to intensified side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, skin irritation or cardiovascular symptoms. Immediate medical attention should be sought in the event of an overdose.
• If a dose is missed, it should be taken as soon as it is remembered. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double up the dose to make up for a missed one.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• To manage gastrointestinal side effects such as nausea or diarrhoea, try taking the medicine after meals.
• Avoid exposure to excessive heat and wear loose-fitting clothes in case of skin irritation or rash.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• Diosmin + Flavonoids may cause dizziness or fatigue in some individuals. Therefore, caution is advised while driving or operating heavy machinery.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• The safety of Diosmin + Flavonoids during pregnancy and lactation has not been firmly established. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use this medicine only on the advice of their doctor.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Patients with chronic kidney disease or liver disorders should use Diosmin + Flavonoids with caution, as sufficient data on the effects of this medicine on these conditions is not available.

Special Dietary and Lifestyle Recommendations

• Regular light exercise, such as walking, can help improve venous circulation and alleviate symptoms of venous diseases.
• Avoid standing or sitting for prolonged periods to prevent blood from pooling in the veins.
• Elevating the legs while sleeping or resting can also aid venous blood flow.
