Contraindications

• This combination may interact with alcohol, opioids (such as morphine and codeine), barbiturates (including phenobarbital and butalbital), other sedatives (like zolpidem and eszopiclone), oral antidiabetic medications (including metformin and glibenclamide), NSAIDs (such as ibuprofen and aspirin), antiarrhythmics (like amiodarone), calcium channel blockers (including amlodipine), and medicines metabolised by CYP2D6 and CYP1A2 enzymes (such as fluoxetine).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose may result in profound drowsiness, respiratory depression, confusion, slow reflexes, hypotension, bradycardia, or coma. Immediate medical intervention is crucial.

• If you miss a dose of this combination, it is advisable to take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when discontinuing this combination. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• If experiencing dry mouth or constipation, increasing water intake may help alleviate these discomforts.
