Contraindications

• Cefixime + Dicloxacillin + Lactobacillus is contraindicated in patients with known allergies to cephalosporins or penicillins. Patients with severe kidney disease should also avoid this combination due to potential kidney damage.

Other Medications to Avoid

• This combination may interact with anticoagulants (such as warfarin), antacids and H2 blockers (like ranitidine and famotidine), uricosuric agents (like probenecid) and oral contraceptives (like ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of this medication may cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and abdominal pain. If you observe these symptoms, inform your doctor immediately.

• If you forget to take this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. But if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose to compensate for a missed one.

Management of Side Effects

• Most side effects of Cefixime + Dicloxacillin + Lactobacillus are temporary and generally harmless and resolve upon discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• Drinking plenty of water may help manage diarrhoea and nausea.

• If you experience dizziness after taking this medicine, refrain from standing up too fast. Get up slowly from a lying or sitting position.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• This medicine may cause dizziness. Therefore, it is advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery after taking Cefixime + Dicloxacillin + Lactobacillus until you are sure that it does not affect your ability to concentrate and react.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• Consult your doctor before using Cefixime + Dicloxacillin + Lactobacillus during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as it may not be safe to use this medicine in these conditions.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Patients with kidney disease should be cautious as the dose may need to be adjusted based on their kidney function.

• Additionally, patients with liver disease should also exercise caution, as liver damage is a potential side effect of long-term use.

Special Dietary and Lifestyle Recommendations

• Drinking plenty of fluids can help prevent urinary tract infections.

• For skin infections, it is recommended to keep the skin clean and dry, avoid direct contact with others who have skin infections, and avoid sharing personal items like towels and bed linens.
