Contraindications

Patients with the following conditions should not take Carvedilol + Ivabradine:

• Severe liver failure

• Symptoms of heart failure

• Blood pressure less than 90/50 mmHg

• Complete heart block (unless a functioning pacemaker is present)

• Resting heart rate less than 60 beats per minute prior to treatment

• Severe Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

Other Medications to Avoid

• Carvedilol + Ivabradine may interact with other medications for high blood pressure or heart problems, with antibiotics (e.g., clarithromycin and telithromycin), antifungals (e.g., itraconazole and ketoconazole), antidepressants (e.g., nefazodone), anti-HIV medications (e.g., ritonavir), anti-seizure medications (e.g., phenobarbital and phenytoin), and herbal supplements (e.g., St. John's Wort).

• Before starting any prescription or over-the-counter medicines, it is crucial to consult your doctor as certain combinations can lead to potentially harmful interactions.

Overdose and Missed Dose

• Overdose of this medication may result in symptoms such as dizziness, slow heartbeat, breathing difficulties, and fainting. If you suspect an overdose, seek immediate medical attention.

• If you miss a dose of Carvedilol + Ivabradine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.
