Bilastine + Montelukast is an antiallergic and anti-asthmatic combination medicine.
Bilastine, a component of this medicine, is a second-generation antihistamine. It works by blocking histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms. This helps in reducing allergy symptoms such as itchy or watery eyes, runny nose, sneezing, and hives.
Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist. It works by blocking the action of leukotrienes, chemicals in the body that cause inflammation and constriction of air passages in the lungs. This helps to prevent asthma symptoms and to relieve symptoms of allergic rhinitis.
When used together, these two components provide comprehensive relief from allergic symptoms and help prevent asthma attacks.
