Contraindications

• Benzalkonium Chloride + Cyclosporin is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to either benzalkonium chloride or cyclosporin, or any other inactive ingredients present in the formulation.

• It is also contraindicated in patients who currently have active ocular infections.

Overdose and Missed Dose

• Overdose through the ocular route is unlikely for Benzalkonium Chloride + Cyclosporin. If accidental oral ingestion occurs, general supportive measures are recommended.

• If you miss a dose of this medicine, apply it as soon as you remember. However, if it is close to your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.

• In case you happen to put a few extra drops in your eye, do not panic. Rinse your eyes with clean water at room temperature. If any symptoms persist or worsen, inform your doctor.

Management of Side Effects

• Most side effects such as burning eye sensation, discharge, excessive tearing, eye pain, foreign body sensation, itching, stinging, and visual disturbance, are temporary and generally harmless. They usually resolve upon discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• Drinking plenty of water might help manage some side effects.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• Use of Benzalkonium Chloride + Cyclosporin does not typically interfere with the ability to drive or operate heavy machinery. However, if it causes blurred vision or other visual disturbances, avoid driving or operating machinery until your vision is clear.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• The use of this medicine during pregnancy or breastfeeding is not recommended without a doctor's advice. It is best to consult your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or nursing.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Patients with ocular surface compromise should exercise caution while using this medicine as cyclosporin may delay wound healing.
