• This medicine is meant for adults and children above 6 years of age.

Contraindications

• This medicine is contraindicated in patients with known allergies to Ammonium chloride or Diphenhydramine and patients who are taking or have taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI) (a treatment for depression) within the previous 14 days. 

Other Medications To Avoid With This Medicine

• It could interact with certain medications, such as antidepressants (isocarboxazid, phenelzine, tranylcypromine) and anti-Parkinson agents (rasagiline, selegiline), medicines used to relieve stomach cramps/spasms, opioid analgesics used to treat pain, medicines used to manage high blood pressure, heart conditions, and migraines.

Overdose and Missed Dose

• If an overdose of this medication happens, inform your doctor and follow the advice accordingly.
• If you forget to take this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. But avoid repeating the dose.

Use In Driving And Operating Machinery

• This medicine is not recommended in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

• Patients with renal or hepatic conditions should exercise caution when taking this medicine.

• Keep your throat moist by drinking enough fluids.
• Skip citrus fruits if you have a cough, as they can worsen it. Instead, try fruits with high water content like pears, watermelon, peaches, and pineapples.
