Ambroxol + Salbutamol

Uses of Ambroxol + Salbutamol

  • Ambroxol + Salbutamol is primarily used in managing respiratory conditions like chronic bronchitis, asthma and other bronchopulmonary disorders and belongs to the group of mucolytic and bronchodilator medicines.

  • It also aids in the management of respiratory disorders associated with excessive mucus secretion and bronchoconstriction.

Side effects of Ambroxol + Salbutamol

  • Headache

  • Shakiness

  • Dizziness

  • Increased heart rate

  • Flushing

  • Sweating

  • Rash

How Ambroxol + Salbutamol works

  • Ambroxol is a mucolytic agent and expectorant. It works by breaking down mucus and making it thinner and less sticky, which makes it easier to cough out. It also helps keep the airways moist by stimulating surfactant production, and has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

  • Salbutamol is a bronchodilator. It attaches to beta-2 receptors in the lungs and relaxes the muscles in the airways, widening them. This increases airflow, making it easier to breathe.
